Bodegas Enrique Mendoza was born in 1989 as a family business, but the project forged at the end of the 70’s, when due to his restlessness, Enrique Mendoza started to buy, to collect and to invest in wine from other wineries as an amateur. Later, recovering the family tradition in the Marina Baixa of wine making for the family consumption, the first 2,000 plants were planted in which today has transformed in a Winery in Alfaz del Pi with 1,400 barrels made from the best French and American forests, where it is bottled and from where our wines are positioned in the national and international markets, and which also disposes of 4.5 hectares of Muscatel from Alexandria.
Our second Winery situated at “Finca Chaconero” at Villena, is provided with the best technology and installations to ferment the grapes proceeding from the 80 hectares (250,000 plants) from the following varieties: Chardonnay in white and Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot, Petit Verdot, Shiraz and Monastrell in red.
Our awareness towards vine growing has taken us to create grapes without herbicides or insecticides and fed only with compost and vineyards grown scientifically supported by dendrometry (technique which lets us control the hydro-stress of the plants) and the precision grape growing, conscious that: “THE BEST WINE IS IN THE BEST VINEYARD”
