The Winery
Cantine Bonacchi grow the best Tuscan grapes and make them into wine in Montalbano, in the heart of the Chianti production zone. The winery also began bottling their wine when the new generation of the family began working. Modern technology enables Cantine Bonacchi to offer consumers excellent products with UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 certification, and special attention to organic production.
The Vineyards
The winery has 40 hectares of vineyards in Chianti Montalbano, and 20 in the Chianti Classico Gallo Nero area, following the purchase of the Casalino property in Siena. In 2002 Cantine Bonacchi also bought a vineyard in Montalcino (Siena), where the prestigious Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino wines are made. The grapes are harvested using traditional methods and modern automated machinery ensuring top quality in the final product.
Production
The new building at the centre of the estate has modern winemaking machinery, two automatic bottling lines and a spacious cellar for storing and ageing in barriques. The wines are distributed with the Bonacchi name on the home and foreign markets. The Chianti Montalbano DOCG and the “Badesco”, a Tuscan IGT aged in small fine oak barrels, are the most famous wines.
