Terroir/Soil Types
Linne Clay Loam - this whitish gray soil contains limestone pieces beginning 18”-24” below the surface. The presence of limestone captures and preserves the freshness in this wine, and being a heavier soil lends itself to a rounder mouthfeel.
Santa Lucia Clay Loam - This soil lends itself to brighter, floral aromatics and lower pH. Being a heavier soil it also lends itself to a rounder mouthfeel..
Aged for 18 months in 100% French oak, (roughly 30% new) in larger format 300L hogshead and 400L puncheons.
Harvest Dates: Several passes amongst multiple varietals from September 4th – October 9th

Tasting Note
This wine offers a lovely walk in a rose garden - potpourri, bouquet garni, and hints of orange peel alongside mixed berry and baking spices. As feminine as the nose suggests, the wine holds nothing back on the palate, delivering concentration and layers of fruit, savory earthiness, and a slate graphite vein of minerality.

Food Matching Grilled beef, chicken, lamb or pork. Roasted meats and vegetables. Especially dishes with a mild spice component like a curry.
Grape variety 55% Grenache, 39% Syrah, 6% Petite Sirah

Alc  15.2%
