Description

Tasting Note Full Red with deep crimson. The fruit shows satsuma plum aromas with hints of black pepper, with a light cedar note from oak maturation. Medium to full bodied in structure with textural tannins providing persistence and rounding-out the palate. This is a flavoursome wine that retains elegance and style in which the fruit plays the dominant role. We have used exclusively estate grown fruit to produce this wine. The emphasis is always to produce a wine showing vibrant fruit characters while young with just enough oak to enhance but not dominate the wine. Some extended skin maceration has aided in producing a roundness on the palate while also having sufficient mouth-watering tannins to provide longevity. Following pressing, the wine was oak matured in a French and American oak for 14 months
