Established in 1953, the Azienda Agricola Molino was only named in 1979 when Mauro, after winemaking studies and successful experience in Emilia Romagna, came back home to take over his father's estate. The winemaking adventure of Mauro Molino begins here. He was among the generation of winemakers to participate in the transformation of Barolo in the 1980’s into one of the world’s most prestigious wine regions.
Now the estate has been passed over to his son Matteo and daughter Martina. Since an early age Matteo develop an interest in winemaking and after learning from his father went to Aba Winemaking school, soon followed by his younger sister Martina. Together they brought fresh ideas and innovation, promoting a type of winemaking aimed at enhancing the quality, the elegance and the superiority of the wines, while improving environmental sustainability and respect for their territory.
The 11 ha azienda is located near the ancient abbey of S. Martino di Marcenasco, and includes some of Langhe most prestigious vineyards: Conca, Gallinotta and La Serra. In few years they succeeded to become one of the most acclaimed and sought after boutique producer from the region.
